Meltio, a leading innovator in industrial laser metal deposition technology, has announced that Godiz, a prominent industrial machining services provider, has become the first official Service Bureau for Meltio’s wire-laser metal 3D printing solutions in Spain and Portugal. This milestone, achieved in collaboration with Sicnova, Meltio’s official sales partner in the Iberian Peninsula, positions Godiz at the forefront of advanced metal additive manufacturing in the region in the South of Europe. With the signing of this new agreement, any type of industry in Spain and Portugal can request Godiz to 3D print metal parts thanks to Meltio’s unique and reliable wire-laser metal 3D printing technology.

Through this partnership, Godiz now offers its industrial clients the Meltio Engine Robot Integration, enhancing their robotic cell capabilities for the production and repair of metal parts using Meltio’s cutting-edge wire-laser technology. This unique solution is tailored to meet the demands of complex applications across various industrial sectors, and Godiz is poised to introduce it to both the Spanish and Portuguese markets.

Meltio’s state-of-the-art multi-metal 3D printing technology precisely layers weld beads using commodity welding wire, introduced into a laser-generated meltpool. This process, known for its efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness, utilizes the cleanest, and most affordable metal feedstock available on the market.

The Meltio Engine Robot Integration seamlessly integrates with existing robotic equipment, bringing new manufacturing capabilities to a wide range of industries. This technology enables the creation of highly complex large parts with machining-level tolerances in a single step, offering significant advantages to machine shops and industrial clients, including those served by Godiz.

About this partnership, Francisco Gómez, CEO of Godiz, states: “With the acquisition of Meltio’s technology, we are closer to achieving our goal of being able to manufacture any type of part that would be practically impossible through conventional methods. This, along with our already established machining service, allows us to manufacture almost any type of part across a wide range of materials. Our goal is also to carry out repairs on high-value materials using the cladding technique, repairs that until now were outside our service portfolio. In short, this collaboration with Meltio will enable us to grow technologically and offer a wider range of services to our existing and potential clients, reaching areas we previously couldn’t.”

And Francisco González, sales EMEA manager at Meltio, highlights the value of this agreement as follows: “We are thrilled to be working with Godiz and Sicnova, as the collaboration between sales and integration partners within the Meltio ecosystem is critical to fast-track technology adoption in a territory. With Godiz’s expertise we are now able to bring an end-to-end solution to customers that require hybrid manufacturing metal printed parts in Spain and Portugal.”

Godiz, a Spanish company specializing in lathing, milling, drilling, and welding technologies, is dedicated to delivering high-quality machining solutions to its industrial clients. The company is committed to manufacturing a wide range of metal parts to meet the diverse needs of its customers.

Sicnova has been the exclusive distributor of Meltio’s technology in Spain and Portugal since 2019. Leveraging its extensive experience in the industrial sector and a well-established sales network, Sicnova has been instrumental in introducing Meltio’s innovative additive manufacturing solutions to industries seeking a competitive edge in their production processes.

“Godiz plays a key role in our ecosystem, as an official Meltio Service Bureau in Spain and Portugal. At Sicnova we firmly believe in the potential of this hybrid technology, which combines the best of subtractive technology with metal additive manufacturing, for companies in the industrial sector that want to take a step further in their production processes, with a special focus on machining.”, says Agustín García, Sales Director at Sicnova.
