Citizen Machinery names dates for autumn open house

On 6-8 October 2026, Citizen Machinery will host an open house at the company’s Turning Centre of Excellence in Brierley Hill, West Midlands. The event will demonstrate to manufacturers how they can streamline workflows and boost profitability using Cincom sliding-head lathes and Miyano fixed-head lathes.
Notably, the company is extending its ‘MACH 2026 Gateway to Japan’ offer of a free trip to Japan for one individual from each company that places an order during the event for a machine to be delivered by the end of 2026. Places are limited, however, and will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
There will be an abundance of technology on show that the company says will reshape manufacturers’ perception of what is possible in terms of productivity gains, lights‑out machining and return on investment. Visitors will be able to learn more about: four-axis simultaneous LFV (low-frequency vibration) chip breaking; high-speed, integrated laser cutting of micro-machined, ultra-precise features; Citizen Machinery’s own in-process probing and automatic offset adjustment; and the company’s proprietary Eco II suite of intelligent energy-saving measures.
Featured will be automatic tool-change (ATC) technology for raising the efficiency of complex one-hit machining. Intended to achieve the same goal, superimposed machining that harnesses X-axis travel of the sub-spindle, will also take centre stage. It gives a twin-turret lathe the capability of a more expensive three-turret model, while providing synchronised control for balancing the motions of all three turrets and both spindles smoothly, reducing cycle times by up to 50%.
Miyano machines on show will include an ABX-80THY3, a seventh-generation BNJ-51SY and a BNE-65ATC, while the Cincom line-up will include the L12-2M10, L20-3M8, L32-2M10 and M32-5M8. The initial number in all lathe designations is the bar capacity in millimetres, while the suffix numbers of the Cincoms represent the machine generation and the number of CNC axes. All turning centres will be under power producing demonstration components.
