Access to Heat Treatment Services Strengthened in Scotland
Ashleigh Thomson has joined Wallwork Group to lead Scottish Business Development. The UK’s largest independent heat treater is expanding representation in Scotland with the appointment of Ashleigh. She joins the company as it continues to make significant investments across its UK sites. This includes establishing a new £20 million hot isostatic pressing centre.
The company’s comprehensive range of heat treatment services are Ashleigh’s initial focus. This is a field in which she gained significant industry experience. Previous roles include Sales Business Development for British Heat Treatments / British Metal Treatments. Then becoming General Manager for British Heat Treatments, a division of AJT Engineering Ltd of East Kilbride, where she also fulfilled a number of other positions. “Over my career, I have gained extensive knowledge of nickel and hard chrome plating, electroless nickel plating, QPQ, harden and temper, case hardening, stress relieve, and tufftride. I look forward to bringing my sales development skills to Wallwork. The company has a fantastic customer service ethic,” Ashleigh enthused. “This is a great opportunity to bring someone of Ashleigh’s calibre onboard. She will strengthen our offering to customers in Scotland. Via our national transport, she has access to all Group services, besides core heat treatments, to offer manufacturers in Scotland,” added Wallwork Group Director, Simeon Collins. Ashleigh is based in Glasgow. In her spare time, she volunteers for the Edward Foundation, a charity to help bulldogs at risk of abuse and being used as a commodity. Her own bullmastiff, Lexi, is a character, and shows no interest in heat treatment unless it is being sat beside the fire.
