I can see from the first few days of working here that that team’s prime focus is providing our customers with the upmost support, and I am looking forward to working closer with the team and our valued customers to build these relationships further.”

Nigel’s appointment provides a significant boost for Ward CNC’s senior management team, working alongside Head of Technical Engineering Mario De Vito whose role includes the management of Ward CNC’s Technical Support Team responsible for providing technical assistance and support to customers for all their CNC Machine Tool requirements.

Discussing the technical capabilities at Ward CNC, Mario states “Our technical offering has proven to be a key consideration for customers we have spoken to when discussing their CNC machines.

This new structure will continue to give a high-level focus on customer demand and response times across Ward CNC’s customer base in the United Kingdom and Irish Republic. Commenting on the new structure, Managing Director Simon Whitworth states. “We are pleased to welcome Nigel to the company to further improve what we believe is one of the strongest levels of engineering support available in the industry today.

This customer support extends to the expertise we are able to leverage from working so closely with the Principal Manufacturers that we exclusively represent in the United Kingdom and Irish Republic, notably: Hyundai-Wia, Hartford, Soraluce, Takisawa and Hankook.
Our Applications Team are regularly in contact with our Principal contacts and pass on this expertise to our customers through the product training that is offered alongside new machine sale purchases.

We are proud of our track-record with customers and know that there are always areas for improvement, but these changes represent the excellent progress we have been making in this area which we are sure will be a warm welcome for customers.”
Providing support to the national team and customers is the recently re-shaped Customer Service team operating from the company’s Head Office & Showroom in Sheffield. This team has been further expanded with the recent appointments of Steven Bridges – Spares Co-ordinator and Fiona Waite as Customer Service Administrator. This team which is responsible for scheduling and despatching field service engineers to customer installations and breakdowns as well as providing spare parts to customers is now supervised by Ellie Radford following her promotion into the position of Customer Service Team Leader.

Speaking on the recent enhancements to the department, Executive Director Stephen Bodsworth comments “We are delighted with the changes we have made to our Service & Support Team with the appointments of Nigel, Fiona and Steven in addition to the well-earned promotion of Ellie.

Our Service Team has consistently demonstrated a high level of service to our customers as can been seen by the greater than 95% levels of customer satisfaction surveys that we regularly undertake for all service, installation, and spares enquiries.
The recent changes we have made will only help to develop our customer service proposition and ensure we can meet the demands from a growing portfolio of customers.
It is certainly an exciting time at Ward CNC and we welcome the opportunity should any engineering organisations wish to find out more about how we can help with their CNC Machine Tool requirements.”
