Introducing the QuantuMike

High-speed, high-accuracy Digimatic Micrometer

The QuantuMike from Mitutoyo has been designed to significantly reduce time for workpiece approach and release, while continuing to be reliable and user-friendly. Utilising a 2.0mm high-lead screw, it reduces the approach time by roughly 60%, achieving a spindle movement four times faster than their standard Micrometers while maintaining excellent accuracy, with a maximum permissible error of just 1μm. The QuantuMike even has a speed warning function, with the screen flashing once the instrument detects collisions with workpieces at excessive speed. With a protection level of IP65, the water and dust-resistant Micrometer can be used with confidence in a machine orientated environment.

The QuantuMike includes features such as calculation functions and a calibration timing notification to ensure the user is informed for an upcoming calibration date. When the advance warning date arrives, a calendar icon flashes to notify the operator, and when the calibration deadline arrives, the entire screen flashes. The Digimatic Micrometer can also display a tolerance judgment mark that can determine whether a measurement value is within the upper or lower limits, which can greatly increase measurement efficiency in an environment working to a pass/fail system.
