DK Holdings continues to strengthen green credentials following latest low-carbon audit

DK Holdings Ltd has further reduced its total emissions, as indicated by the company’s latest low-carbon audit carried out by Next Level Services.

The audit reflects DK Holding’s continued investment in practical, measurable steps to reduce the environmental impact of the business across its UK manufacturing facilities. Over the past year, the Staplehurst, Kent-based company has reduced gas and electric consumption through the installation of more efficient boilers and the introduction of new, energy-efficient machinery. In addition, more solar power generation is now taking place across the site, supported by the installation of electric vehicle charging points.

Further improvements are planned for the coming year, including the installation of new double glazing, the introduction of a new electric van and further investment in efficient machinery. DK Holdings has also confirmed that its electricity is now supplied by ENGIE, supporting the company’s move towards greener electricity.

In addition to reducing emissions internally, DK Holdings is proud to have now planted over 1,500 trees through its work with ‘The Green Organisation’, marking another positive milestone in the company’s ongoing sustainability journey.

Finance Director Darren Mills (pictured) commented: “Reducing our emissions is something we’re incredibly proud of, but it’s also part of a much wider effort. Every improvement, whether it’s investing in more efficient machinery, generating more solar power or reviewing how we manage our fleet, helps us make responsible decisions for the future. Our latest low-carbon audit shows that the work being carried out across the business is making a measurable difference and we remain committed to further reducing our environmental impact wherever possible.”
