The Aston Martin DBX family’s most powerful member has started production. The DBX707 is put together at Aston Martin’s St Athan facility in Wales, which manufactures all of the super-SUV’s.  The first improved performance DBX is now ready to be delivered to its owner.

The DBX707 made its official debut in February, impressing with its blazing 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) performance in under 3.1 seconds.

Aston Martin engaged more than 100 new qualified automotive engineers to work on the DBX707, which is hand-built. The standard DBX was the first Welsh-made production automobile in in 50 years when it rolled off the assembly lines at St Athan. This latest SUV  will be sold in more than 50 countries worldwide.

The DBX707 has more than just an upgraded engine. There’s a new nine-speed wet-clutch gearbox a modified rear e-diff with a shorter 3:27 final drive for better acceleration. The all-wheel drive is still the same automatic system as seen in the regular DBX, but now with better traction in cornering. The carbon-ceramic disc brakes measuring 16.5 inches in front and 15.4 inches at the back clamped by six-piston calipers provide the stopping power.

The British automotive manufacturer proudly states that the reaction from customers and media has been “tremendous.”
