£500,000 investment set to drive expansion at ExMesh Engineering
Hartlepool’s ExMesh Engineering is set for significant expansion this year following a £500,000 investment. A specialist in metal fabrication, ExMesh Engineering will embark on a recruitment drive later in 2025 as it introduces a range of new services to meet growing customer demand.
As a division of The Expanded Metal Company, ExMesh Engineering will build on over a century of heritage with a fresh focus on innovation and growth. Known for its expanded metal perimeter fencing, ExMesh will now offer complete metal fabrication solutions, fabricating anything from intricate custom designs to large-scale production runs.
Ryan Pinder, ExMesh Operations Manager and Head of Continuous Improvement, says: “To support our bold new direction, we’ve made substantial investments in new machinery that will enable us to deliver precision, flexibility and capacity in all metal fabrication.”
He adds: “Additions include a new laser cutter which can process carbon steel, mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium with precision and efficiency, making it suitable for complex and large-scale projects. Furthermore, a new press brake allows us to handle intricate metal bending and folding tasks, ensuring we can meet demanding specifications. We also have a cobot welding system for projects requiring precision and repeatability at scale. We’re very proud to be investing and building on the skill and heritage that is grounded in Teesside.”
With its expert design team, ExMesh Engineering will support clients across different sectors, including construction, architecture, industrial and retail, from initial concept to final delivery.
Philip Astley, Managing Director of The Expanded Metal Company Ltd, says: “This new chapter marks a significant milestone in the evolution of ExMesh Engineering and our group. We’re excited to offer our customers more than ever, whether they need security solutions or custom metal fabrications.”
