Zeiss Industrial Quality Solutions (IQS) will stage an official grand opening of its new Quality Excellence Centre in Lutterworth, Leicestershire. The event will take place on Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 May.

There will be a morning and afternoon event on both days comprising presentations, tours, simulated training academy sessions and guided machine demonstrations. Refreshments and catering will be available.

After 23 years of operating from its former Rugby facility, Zeiss IQS had outgrown the site and needed a much larger building to accommodate its ever-increasing metrology equipment portfolio. At 1,500 m² the new Quality Excellence Centre in Lutterworth is three times the size of the previous site.

“From the start, the design and planning of the new building focused heavily on providing the best-possible customer experience,” explains marketing manager Penelope Howes. “It features more than 25 demonstration stations encompassing blue light fringe projection, microscopy, CMMs, X-ray machines and Zeiss software platforms, demonstrating various components from new energy vehicles (NEVs), orthopaedic implants, castings and clay models. We’re very excited about the new facility and look forward to welcoming existing and new customers to the opening event.”
