Warwick Machine Tools unveils enhanced Excetek G Plus wire EDM machine

Warwick Machine Tools has revealed the latest evolution of Excetek’s EDM portfolio, introducing the enhanced G Plus wire EDM machine series equipped with new high-efficiency generators. These updates build on Excetek’s already proven EDM technology, offering manufacturers even more ways to boost efficiency and reduce running costs.

The G Plus series, long recognised for its precision and reliability, now features Excetek’s latest GS Energy Saving Discharge Circuit, designed to recapture sink energy and deliver high-speed discharge pulses. This technology can reduce power consumption by up to 35% while increasing machining speed by 25%, helping users achieve faster results with lower operating costs. The new ECO Mode further refines surface finishes, reduces passes and minimises wire wear.

According to Excetek’s internal benchmarks, these enhancements can provide annual savings of up to 8,708 kWh of electricity and 4,310 kg of CO₂.

With the G Plus Series gaining new capabilities, Warwick Machine Tools continues to strengthen its UK offering, bringing manufacturers a choice of proven, precise and increasingly energy-efficient EDM solutions.
