Wall Colmonoy purchases new CNC tube bender for aircraft exhaust line

Wall Colmonoy’s Oklahoma City facility in the USA is looking to increase its productivity with a new Unison Breeze electric CNC pipe and tube-draw bender. The addition of this 80 mm diameter capacity machine marks a significant upgrade to the company’s capabilities in support of both OEM and Nicrocraft FAA-PMA aftermarket exhaust part production. It will streamline operations, improve productivity and shorten lead times for aircraft exhaust customers.
“The new CNC tube bender completes our state-of-the-art tube line and will greatly improve lead times, enabling our Oklahoma City facility to meet growing market demands while maintaining our commitment high-quality standards,” states John Mars, General Manager of Wall Colmonoy Oklahoma City.
The Unison Breeze CNC tube bender is an accurate, all-electric system that will replace manual methods. With 1,200 mm/sec axis feed speed and 14,800 Nm of bend torque, the machine can perform multi and compound bending for parts with complex geometries. This capability will streamline operations by eliminating processes, shortening welding times and decreasing multiple saw operations. As a result, Wall Colmonoy’s Oklahoma City plant will reduce energy consumption and scrap material, reinforcing its contribution to a more productive, efficient and cleaner world.
