The SME Snapshot Survey 2026 is now open

The Enginuity SME Snapshot Survey is now live, and we’re sharing it because SME experiences in engineering and manufacturing genuinely feed into wider policy discussions.
It only takes about 6 minutes, but what you share helps build a clearer picture of what SMEs are dealing with, from skills shortages and recruitment challenges to cost pressures and investment decisions.
The last Snapshot from March 2026 captured responses from:
✔️ 250 SMEs
✔️ Representing 10,000+ employees
✔️ £1.91bn combined revenue.
Importantly, previous surveys haven’t just been “research”.
They’ve helped bring SME realities into conversations with Government and policymakers, making sure decisions are grounded in what’s actually happening in businesses.
This evidence didn’t sit on a shelf — it helped drive action. It:
✔️ Secured a meeting with the Minister for Skills, Jacqui Smith
✔️ Informed discussions across Government departments including HM Treasury, DBT, Skills England and DfE
✔️ Helped establish the Enginuity Policy Centre for Supply Chain and SMEs.
That’s why I think it’s worth taking part and sharing.
The survey is open until 15 July 2026. Act now. Click the link below.
