Renishaw, a global specialist in measuring and manufacturing systems, recently sponsored the EMO MX Value Award 2025, which it describes as one the most prestigious recognitions for manufacturing excellence in Europe. The award ceremony took place on 24 September at EMO 2025 production technology exhibition in Hanover, Germany.

This new award was organised by MX Manufacturing eXcellence eV, the German-based non-profit organisation that promotes the transfer of knowledge between business and science, and supports companies in German-speaking countries in strengthening their long-term competitiveness and corporate culture. The organisation also runs the annual MX Awards in Germany.

The EMO MX Value Award, which was open to entries from all exhibitors at the EMO exhibition, recognises practical manufacturing solutions that increase efficiency, productivity and sustainability in industrial production. A total of 10 finalists were shortlisted from around 100 applications, with the judging panel consisting of MX experts, industry partners and previous MX award winners.

As part of its sponsorship, Renishaw’s additive manufacturing (AM) team used its technologies to design and 3D-print bespoke metal award trophies for the first, second and third-placed winners. Rainer Lotz, President of Renishaw’s EMEA region, presented the EMO MX Value Award to Tepcon GmbH (Germany), with second and third place trophies awarded to Zell Systemtechnik GmbH (Germany) and Royal Products (USA), respectively.

“Productivity, efficiency and sustainability are key benefits delivered to our customers from the use of Renishaw’s technologies,” said Lotz. “We were delighted to support an award that not only celebrates excellence but also inspires manufacturers to improve and push the boundaries of what’s possible.”
