New right-angle heads suitable for automation

Swiss manufacturer Pibomulti has launched a new range of right-angle tool-holding heads, sold in the UK and Ireland by Gewefa UK. The next-generation CEP-NG heads can be used on machining centre spindles, B-axis lathe spindles or live VDI turret stations on turn-mill centres.
Built with hardened bevel gears and ABEC 9 angular-contact bearings, CEP-NG heads deliver precision, reliability and durability for demanding sectors such as aerospace, automotive, medical, defence and energy. They transmit higher rotational speeds at a 1:1 ratio, boosting productivity, surface finish and torque capabilities – up to 210 Nm with ISO40 clamping.
Lightweight construction reduces spindle and machine stress, lowers vibration and accelerates tool changes, supporting faster feeds, rapids and cycle times. Integrated features include 100 bar coolant, 360° indexing rings and automated positioning, enabling flexible, unattended production. Interfaces offered include HSK, ISO, CAT, BT, CAPTO and VDI, with full customisation available.
