New DN Solutions DMN 4500S VMC

(Franklin, PA) Franklin Precision Castings is pleased to announce the purchase of a new DN Solutions DMN 4500S Vertical Machining Center. The high-performance machining center gives their in-house machine shop faster tool changes, increased tool capacity, and reduction in setup times.

Franklin Precision Castings partnered with Allegheny Machine Tool Systems for the purchase and installation of the machining center.

“With the new DN Solutions’ faster tool changes, increased tool capacity, and the reduction in set up times, we were able to replace two older machining centers and produce better quality parts with shorter lead times,” states Rick Wolbert, Machine Shop Manager.

The DN Solutions DMN 4500s Vertical Machining Center is used for the finishing stage of the machining process. The center is equipped with a 40-tool magazine, 15000RMP spindle, and Renishaw probing capabilities. This tool change is four times quicker than previous machines with double the spindle speed.

This investment has upgraded current machining capabilities, reinforcing Franklin Precision Castings’ commitment to continuous improvement for their customers.
