Micron Workholding , in collaboration with Engineering Data, is introducing its latest innovation: the EasyProd MX collaborative robot (cobot). According to Micron, the EasyProd MX enhances flexibility, efficiency and productivity in manufacturing environments, making automation more accessible than ever before.
The EasyProd MX is a detachable trolley equipped with a cobot, enabling seamless mobility from one machine to another. This new system docks on to stations fitted with EasyLock zero-point systems, allowing for quick and precise positioning with automatic machine recognition. This feature reduces set up time and helps maximise efficiency on the factory floor.
High load capacity and versatility
The EasyProd MX supports weights between 8 and 20 kg, depending on the selected model. Equipped with an automatic clamp changer, the EasyProd MX also offers enhanced operational flexibility, allowing it to adapt to different workpieces without manual intervention. Additionally, its extendable basket with slots further optimises efficiency by facilitating organised handling of materials. These features collectively contribute to streamlined production processes.
