Metrology specialist to host open day in partnership with University of Wolverhampton Racing

Bowers Group is set to host its upcoming metrology open day in collaboration with the University of Wolverhampton Racing (UWR) team. Taking place on 5 March 2025 at the University of Wolverhampton Telford Campus, the event promises a full day of hands-on workshops, live demonstrations and exclusive previews of connected metrology solutions.
The event offers visitors an opportunity to experience the latest advancements in precision measurement technology, network with industry experts and get an inside look at the University’s engineering facilities.
Martin Hawkins, Managing Director of Bowers Group, says: “It’s an excellent opportunity to showcase our latest innovations, share knowledge and connect with industry peers, as well as showcase the work that the team at the University of Wolverhampton does to give its students a head-start in their motorsport careers.”
Notably, the event will host the official unveiling of Bowers Group’s new Figura contour and roundness measurement machines, which the company says deliver fast, accurate surface and dimensional analysis.
With live demonstrations of connected metrology solutions, showcasing real-time data transfer and precision measurement capabilities, guests can also explore the newly upgraded mobile metrology showroom, featuring the latest tools and technologies.
In addition, there will be an opportunity to network with Bowers Group experts and the UWR team, gaining insights into projects, taking a behind-the-scenes tour of the engineering department and UWR workshop, where students and staff prepare for competitive motorsport events. Visitors can also get competitive on the racing simulator, with exciting prizes up for grabs.
