MACH-nificent: MACH 2026 proves a resounding success for Unison and Nukon Lasers UK

The recent MACH 2026 exhibition in Birmingham was a major success for Unison Ltd, the UK-based inventor of all-electric tube manipulation, and for its sister company, Nukon Lasers UK, the exclusive UK and Ireland distributor of European-built Nukon fibre laser cutting machines. During the five-day event, no fewer than 250 delegates registered their interest in either Unison’s or Nukon’s machine tool technologies. A powerful Nukon Cross 420 (4 m x 2 m bed size) 20 kW fibre laser cutting machine was sold during the week, as was a Unison Breeze 38 mm (maximum tube diameter) Twinhead all-electric ‘symmetrical shapes’ tube bending machine.

Demonstrations of a Unison Breeze 50 mm (maximum tube diameter) all-electric, multi-stack tube bending machine proved popular among visitors to the Unison and Nukon stand, as did the Nukon Cross fibre laser machine, which is a recent addition to the Nukon range.

Other machine tool technologies on display on Unison’s stand included one of the company’s manually operated and CNC-controlled EvBend 1000 precision tube bending machines, and a Pneuform 3D rotary head wire bending machine. Demonstrations of Unison’s advanced Opt2Sim Scan tube measurement system also took place throughout the event.

50 mm Unison Breeze: Tthe versatile choice in tube bending

Developed especially for companies that require maximum flexibility and ease of programming in tube bending, the 50 mm Breeze machine showcased on the Unison stand is a favoured choice among aerospace and automotive component manufacturers, furniture and handrail makers, HVAC systems specialists and general fabricators who require high levels of reliability, repeatability and accuracy. Just like the majority of machines in Unison’s all-electric Breeze range, the 50 mm model is available in both single- and multi-stack versions. While multi-radius capability, generous clearance under the bend head and substantial carriage-push and mandrel pull force are additional features that ensure there are very few tasks it can’t handle.

Nukon Cross: Making high-performance metal cutting more accessible

Already renowned for its high quality, intelligently priced European-built fibre laser cutting machines and press brakes, Nukon Lasers UK used MACH 2026 to launch its new Cross series range of fibre laser machines. Re-engineered to make high-performance metal cutting even more accessible, Nukon Cross machines have been designed with a focus on productivity. They offer powerful 2D flat-sheet metal cutting capability and can be specified with bed sizes of 3 m x 1.5 m, 4 m x 2 m or 6 m x 2 m. Power options range from as little as 2 kW, right up to 30 kW for the most challenging of laser-cutting applications.

“Attending MACH once again proved invaluable to us,” commented Unison Ltd’s UK Sales Manager Luke Gibson. “Not only did we benefit from a huge amount of interest in our machine tool technologies and simulation software, but sales were also confirmed and we gained a large number of high-quality leads. As always, the show also provided a wonderful opportunity to catch up with customers old and new. MACH is always a key date on our calendar and we’re looking forward to attending the show again in 2028.”
