LOGO! 9: Next-generation logic controller from Siemens Digital

After 11 years, Siemens introduces the new generation of LOGO! Available now, the logic module LOGO! 9 offers double the function block capacity (up to 800 blocks), expanded I/O capability (up to 64 digital inputs) and an intuitive colour touchscreen display on the base module. New features include a 4.3-inch text display. Furthermore, the AM4 expansion module enables floating-point calculations, while LOGO! Soft Comfort V9 now supports cross-platform operation on Windows, macOS and Linux for the first time.
The LOGO! portfolio offers compact logic modules, communication and expansion modules plus intuitive software for everyday automation. With LOGO! 9, automation enters the next generation: connected, scalable and secure by design, while remaining as simple as ever.
LOGO! 9 delivers clever automation for small systems, from machine-level tasks to building control. It includes:
- Basic Modules: Compact controllers for simple automation — with or without display
- Expansion Modules: Modular I/O flexibility — connect digital or analog inputs and outputs as needed
- Communication Modules: Ethernet-enabled add-ons for seamless connectivity — keeping the full I/O capacity available
- Operating Devices: LOGO! TDE — a new 4.3″ colour touchscreen for messages, alarms, system status and parameters directly at the machine
- Software: LOGO! Soft Comfort V9 — configure, simulate and deploy in one tool, on Windows, macOS and Linux
Automation is no longer just about switching. It means connecting, visualising and protecting. LOGO! 9 rises to meet these demands: more performance, a modern user experience, efficient engineering and security built in from the start — without giving up the simplicity and cost efficiency of a logic module.
According to Siemens, LOGO! 9 is the right fit for standalone applications that need room to grow. It makes engineering faster and more flexible, brings operation and visualisation directly to the device, and meets today’s security standards out of the box.
