Latest simulation and verification software on show at Southern Manufacturing

Vericut, a specialist in CNC simulation, verification, optimisation and post-processing software, will use its participation in the Southern Manufacturing and Electronics Show 2025 (Farnborough, 4-6 February) to demonstrate its latest advances. Visitors to stand C215 will have the opportunity to explore the latest version of Vericut’s flagship software, Vericut 9.5, its latest post-processing software release, ICAM V25, and a new standalone NC program optimisation solution.
Vericut 9.5 introduces several key enhancements, including a new heat map in the tool summary window for visualising tool wear patterns and enabling better tool life tracking. CNC machine connectivity allows real-time data visibility and post-machining analysis, with support for connecting to FANUC, OKUMA, Siemens, and Heidenhain controlled CNC machines. The update also improves co-ordinate system management with interactive transform menus, simplifying object placement. In addition, Vericut 9.5 introduces support for the latest CAM versions and enhances CAM interfaces for better automation and advanced tool simulation.
ICAM V25 brings improved support for multi-channel mill-turn operations, new optimisation features like SmartCUT and SmartPATH, enhanced singularity avoidance, and motion optimisation capabilities. It also adds a new CL-oriented look-ahead function, virtual machine enhancements and integration with GibbsCAM. Moreover, ICAM V25 now supports offline licence use, offers improved 3D scene manipulation and provides online documentation. These updates streamline post-processing, enhance simulation accuracy and improve overall user experience.

Elsewhere on the stand, Vericut will be demonstrating its new standalone NC program optimisation solution, Vericut Optimizer. Vericut Optimizer focuses on optimising cutting processes to reduce cycle times, improve tool life and enhance part quality. The software is designed to enhance machining performance while minimising costs, and does not require Vericut Verification to run. It integrates with any CAM system’s NC program output, allowing manufacturers to optimise their NC programs with just a few clicks, ensuring compatibility and increased efficiency with standard 2-axis, 3-axis, or 4/5-axis CNC machines.
