Kyocera SGS to establish Europe’s largest carbide tooling site

Kyocera SGS Precision Tools is set to relocate its European headquarters from Wokingham, Berkshire, to Fradley, Staffordshire, in a move that will create the company’s largest carbide tooling facility in Europe. The expansion will consolidate production, R&D, and logistics under one roof, boosting capacity and strengthening supply-chain resilience.

The new site is expected to improve lead times for European customers while generating skilled jobs across manufacturing, engineering and logistics.

Hugh Welch, European Managing Director, describes the relocation as a “key milestone” in Kyocera’s European growth strategy, signalling long-term investment in the region’s precision tooling sector.
