German tooling manufacturer Gewefa calls its M96 and M96+ hydraulic chucks “the best of both worlds,” converting any ER-driven tool into a high-precision hydraulic holder.
Available in the UK and Ireland via GEWEFA UK, they overcome the clamping, runout and slow-change limitations of mechanical ER holders. Benefits include consistent gripping force, vibration damping, extended tool life, improved accuracy and superior surface finish. Quick mounting on the tool’s output shaft allows faster changes.
The M96 suits internal-thread tools, while the M96+ fits external-thread tools, supporting ER16-40 sizes for 5-25 mm tools.
