Hurco to unveil new finance initiative at December open house

Hurco Europe’s annual end-of-year open house exhibition will take place at its High Wycombe showroom on Tuesday 1 and 2 December from 08:30 to 16:30 on both days. The company will provide lunch and refreshments. In addition to a showroom full of new Hurco CNC machine tools under power and cutting metal, there’s the added attraction that many of Hurco’s primary suppliers will be in attendance.

Taking centre-stage this year will be a new machine finance option from Hurco. Known as ‘Peace of Mind Finance’, the option comes in response to the challenging conditions that manufacturing industry is currently experiencing. It’s aimed at machine tool users who have a full order book today, but are uncertain about the future.

David Waghorn, Managing Director of Hurco Europe, explains further: “It allows a new Hurco machine to be leased for 36 months, with the option to return it after 18 months. Of course, it’s preferable to keep the machine for at least the first 36 months and, if work keeps coming in, 80% of the payments count towards an eventual machine purchase.”

Advisors from IEF, part of Compass Finance will be on-site and ready to discuss all hire purchase and lease options. A further benefit is that the operating lease can be presented as an overhead cost, avoiding the need to raise a capital purchase.

The latest machine automation options from Hurco will be on show, including the established ProCobot range for component loading, represented by a ProFeeder-X with 10 drawers loading a VMX30UDi five-axis vertical machining centre.

There’ll also be a ProFeeder Tray loading and stacking finished parts produced on a three-axis VM20i machining centre. This plug-and-play component-loading automation system is suitable for producing small to medium batch quantities of components. A simple app appears on the Hurco WinMax control screen and only minimal information requires entering to set up a job. Almost no programming is necessary. Additionally, users have the reassurance that Hurco supports both the ProCobot and the machine tool.

The Kawasaki PC25 industrial robot system, first launched at the MACH 2026 exhibition in Birmingham earlier this year, will be paired with a VMX42SRTi five-axis machining centre loading both vices and pallets with a variety of one-off components. The same Hurco Job Automation software is used for both the Kawasaki and ProCobot options, making learning and support simple and straightforward.

Completing the display of Hurco’s five-axis configurations will be a direct-drive 15,000 rpm-spindle VMX30Di three-axis machining centre fitted with a Kitagawa TT200 rotary-tilt table, providing a flexible, bolt-on, simultaneous five-axis production platform. Additionally, there’ll be four three-axis CNC machining centres under power and making parts. Sizes range from the compact, versatile VM10i to the flexible VMX42Di with a 15,000 rpm, 40-taper spindle, 40-station tool changer and X, Y, Z travels of 1,067 x 660 x 610 mm.

The Hurco range of CNC turning centres will be represented by the TMX8MYi driven-tool lathe with Y axis, together with a TM6i two-axis lathe. All Hurco CNC turning centres have the benefit of simple conversational programming on the Max 5 control, making one-offs and small batches quick and easy to complete.

As a special feature this year, and partly as a reflection of the quality of the current stock, two recent pre-owned machines will share the demonstration area normally reserved for new machines: a four-axis VM20i (2024) with a Hurco H200 CNC rotary table; and a VMX50Di (2022) with 15,000 rpm direct-drive spindle and 40-station tool changer.

Further used and refurbished machines will be available to view via an access doorway into the main Hurco operations warehouse adjacent to the showroom. Subject to prior sale, there are currently 10 recent previously-owned machines listed on the regularly-updated Hurco website.

This year, as many as 19 specialist companies will have their own small stand offering tooling, workholding, CADCAM, metrology, automation, mist extraction, rotary tables, barfeeds, angle heads, probing and machine tool finance. It gives existing Hurco users and potential customers the opportunity to discuss ancillary equipment in a relaxed and informed environment.
