Greenfields signs new ‘Chamber’ partnership deal to support Black Country manufacturing’s energy needs

A major UK energy management consultancies has signed a new commercial partnership with the Black Country Chamber of Commerce to help local manufacturers navigate the increasingly complex energy market. Greenfields Energy Group, which already works with 64 companies in the region, will provide members with a no-cost review of their existing and future electricity, gas and water contracts.
Its 10-strong team of experts will identify opportunities for immediate and long-term cost savings, as well as security of supply to power businesses as they look to plan for future expansion. Certain services will be discounted to Black Country Chamber members, whilst a series of webinars on breaking energy trends and issues will be delivered free of charge throughout the year.
“We’ve been working with firms in the region ever since we launched, providing trusted advice and guidance on energy procurement that has collectively saved firms tens of £millions,” explains Liam Conway, Co-Founder of Greenfields Energy Group. “This is just the start. We wanted to broaden our reach and offer the same depth of services to more businesses and our close-knit relationship with the Chamber seemed the perfect opportunity to educate and support its membership group.”
He continues: “Doing nothing is not an option, especially in these unprecedented times. We always advise on taking a long-term view on energy supply and this means continually reviewing options and not leaving it until a few months before your contract renews.”
Black Country Chamber has seen a significant increase in enquiries from members coming to terms with the rising cost of energy and the impact this is having on already stretched budgets.
CEO Sarah Moorhouse picks up the story: “Energy has been a key topic for the last two years, but we’ve recently seen an unprecedented rise in interest. Conversations about the price of gas/electricity, locking into contracts and long-term security have dominated our events and discussions with our account managers. Our approach is to listen and then find ready-made solutions or develop new partnerships that can support our manufacturers. This is exactly what we’ve done with Greenfields and this agreement will deliver access to one of the best energy management consultancies in the UK.”
She adds: “Some of our members have already used Liam and the team, commenting on their honesty, knowledge of the energy market and a unique ability to tailor packages to suit requirements. They’re also very ‘people first’ and this is an approach we like, and we know our firms will also appreciate.”
Greenfields Energy Group provides procurement consultancy on electricity, gas and water, combining extensive risk management and trading expertise with personalised service and modern tools and tech. Its new Energy Bureau Service acts as a ‘behind-the-scenes’ energy department for businesses, handling the admin, analysis and reporting so management teams can focus on handling day-to-day activities. From validating utility bills to providing in-depth consumption reporting, the service ensures energy strategies are accurate, cost effective and complaint.
Liam concludes: “Energy is at the heart of what many Black Country manufacturers do and is critical to their future success. By strengthening our partnership with the Chamber, we can hopefully provide peace of mind that we’ve got the region’s back.”
