First UK Circle Green® stainless steel supply now complete

thyssenkrupp Materials UK and Outokumpu have completed the first and largest UK supply of Circle Green®, the world’s first near-zero emission stainless steel, for the construction sector.

The 220-tonne order, slit to customer specifications at thyssenkrupp’s Midlands, UK facility, supports low-carbon supply chains while reducing waste and transport emissions. Circle Green® cuts carbon footprint by up to 93% versus the industry average, reports thyssenkrupp Materials,  combining recycled content and low-carbon energy.

The milestone reflects growing demand for sustainable materials and marks a key step in decarbonising UK construction, aligning with regulatory requirements and industry sustainability goals.
