FANUC to host ‘automation for all’ showcase

Automation expert FANUC will shortly throw open the doors of its UK headquarters to demonstrate how automation is accessible for every manufacturing business, large or small. Taking place on 3-4 November in Ansty Park, Coventry, the free-to-attend FANUC open house will highlight simple, scalable robotic solutions to help manufacturers of all sizes tackle key industry challenges such as labour shortages and rising energy costs, as well as product inconsistency. Following the two-day event, FANUC’s Coventry HQ will also play host to the annual British Automation and Robot Association (BARA) conference, taking place on Thursday 5 November.

Combining know-how with practical solutions, this year’s open house will bring together expert-led seminars, panel debates, industry discussions and real-world case studies. In addition, an extensive exhibition running throughout the event will showcase the latest robotic technology from FANUC and more than 30 of its system integrator partners and suppliers.

Flexible solutions

A particular focus will be helping SMEs realise their automation potential. Presentations and demonstrations are set to feature practical, easy-to-implement technology that delivers immediate value, alongside the ability to flex as business evolves.

With the UK currently sitting outside the global top 10 in terms of manufacturing output, automation is no longer a ‘nice-to-have’ for British manufacturers – it’s a business necessity.”

Robotics in action

Live demonstrations from FANUC at its 2026 open house will include: ‘first-step’ automation using CRX collaborative robots for tasks such as entry-level palletising and simple welding; all-electric injection moulding capabilities with the FANUC ROBOSHOT; reliable, consistent drilling tasks with the FANUC ROBODRILL; and user-friendly CNC controls.

Finally, an impressive line-up of speakers from across the manufacturing and automation spectrum are set to share their insights and advice on how to select the optimal solutions. Panel discussions will include getting started with automation in manufacturing, solving labour challenges, tackling cultural change, understanding real-world ROI, the Cyber Resilience Act regulations and the latest machinery developments.
