Dugard set to provide Zopo VMC brand with UK exhibition premiere

Dugard will introduce the Zopo brand to UK manufacturers for the first time at a UK exhibition when it presents the V11B vertical machining centre at Southern Manufacturing & Electronics 2026. On 3-5 February at Farnborough International Exhibition Centre, Dugard is set to present Zopo on Stand G310, while experts will be on hand to discuss the extensive range of solutions from further company principals such as Hanwha, SMEC and Chevalier.

According to Dugard, the Zopo V11B at Southern Manufacturing provides UK manufacturers with a cost-effective solution for high-rigidity machining applications. With over 10,000 units sold globally, the V11B has established itself as a proven platform for manufacturers seeking reliable performance without compromising on quality or capability.

Engineered with a unique arc-shaped base design developed through finite element analysis, the V11B delivers high rigidity compared with alternative machines in its class, reports Dugard. This advanced structural design, combined with internal reinforcement ribs, enables the machine to maintain both accuracy and stability during demanding heavy-duty cutting. The machine’s large-span base structure incorporates two 45 mm roller linear guideways that support workpiece weights up to 900 kg.

The V11B features a direct-coupled spindle system, a design that improves processing efficiency and quality, extends tool life through reduced vibration, and lowers overall machining costs. Notably, the 11/15 kW direct spindle operates at speeds up to 12,000 rpm with a BT40 taper, while the 24-position tool magazine enables tool changes in just 2.5 seconds to minimise non-productive time.

With axis travels of 1100 x 610 x 630 mm in the X, Y and Z axis respectively, and a 610 x 1,300 mm table, the V11B provides the working envelope required for medium-to-large component production. Rapid traverse rates of 36/36/32 m/min in X, Y and Z ensure efficient positioning between operations, while a maximum feed rate of 12 m/min supports productive material removal rates.

Colin Thomson, Sales Director at Dugard, says: “The Zopo brand exemplifies Dugard’s commitment to delivering high-quality, cost-effective machining solutions without any compromise in capability or reliability. With over 10,000 units sold worldwide, the V11B has a proven track record, and we’re confident it will resonate with UK manufacturers seeking productive, dependable vertical machining centres that deliver excellent value. Since representing the brand in early 2025, we’ve made a significant number of sales, and customers are reporting impressive performance and productivity rates. The addition of Zopo to our portfolio further strengthens Dugard’s ability to provide comprehensive CNC solutions for manufacturers across all scales and budgets.”
