DN Solutions accelerates ‘Vision 2032’ at EMO exhibition

DN Solutions, the world’s third-largest and Korea’s leading machine tool company, announced at the recent EMO exhibition in Hanover the key achievements and future direction of its global growth strategy, ‘Vision 2032’. The strategy – to become a global technology-based top manufacturing solutions leader – is on track for accelerated completion.
“Since the company’s founding in 1976, we’ve surpassed 300,000 machines deployed globally,” reveals CEO Won-jong Kim. “DN Solutions has established itself as a trusted partner for diverse industries worldwide, including in Europe. Through strategic partnerships and local investments, we’ll continue to expand our technological leadership and global footprint, delivering the most advanced products and services to customers worldwide.”
Key milestones in past two years
- Expanded installed base: Since the company’s founding in 1976, DN Solutions has surpassed the milestone of 300,000 machines deployed globally, significantly growing its market share in major countries.
- Industry diversification: The company rapidly expanded beyond the automotive and semiconductor sectors into aerospace, space and defence.
- Advanced technology leadership: DN Solutions has demonstrated its commitment to innovation by launching the DLX series for PBF additive manufacturing and making an equity investment in Carbon Black to lead the development of manufacturing AI.
- Global footprint: To strengthen its global presence, the company stabilised its German R&D center, began construction of a new plant and R&D centre in India, and opened a new Tech Centre in Chicago, US.
Heller acquisition: A new chapter in Europe
In August 2025, DN Solutions signed an agreement in Nürtingen, Germany, to acquire 100% of the shares of machine tool builder, Heller. The transaction, pending regulatory approval, is projected to create a combined entity with revenues of approximately EUR 2 billion.
Kim reaffirmed the company’s commitment to honour all existing and new contracts, ensuring uninterrupted customer support. He also pledged to retain Heller’s management team and key talent to preserve the technical expertise and customer trust built over its 130-year history.
“The heritage, management philosophy, and technological excellence Heller has built will remain at the heart of its operations,” says Kim. “Together, DN Solutions and Heller will function as a one team, building stronger partnerships across German and European industries.”
Delivering enhanced value to European manufacturing
Through the Heller acquisition, DN Solutions aims to contribute to the revitalisation of the German machine tool sector, offering European customers a true one-stop manufacturing solutions platform. Both organisations will leverage the stronger financial foundation and global economies of scale to build a more resilient supply chain and integrate advanced IT capabilities for smart machine tools. These efforts will ultimately enhance the competitiveness of European manufacturing and deliver greater value to customers.
