BBC star Patrick Grant will lead Made in Britain’s Impact Awards to celebrate manufacturing excellence

Manufacturing trade body Made in Britain will celebrate the outstanding achievements and innovations made within the UK manufacturing sector at next week’s Impact Awards. Patrick Grant, star judge of BBC programme ‘The Great British Sewing Bee’ and founder of Community Clothing, will be on guest speaker duties for this year’s event, lending his support to British manufacturers across all industries.

Patrick has a long and established career in manufacturing, working as a director at a number of bespoke tailors and textile manufacturers across the country. His ethical clothing brand, Community Clothing, works with over 50 manufacturers across Britain. Patrick has been a judge on The Great British Sewing Bee for over 10 years, and is a respected figure in both manufacturing and apparel circles.

“It’s a great privilege to host the Made in Britain Impact Awards, celebrating an industry that has been close to my heart for most of my life: manufacturing,” he says. “Throughout my career, I’ve seen how truly great innovation can solve real-world problems and create a lasting impact, so I’m looking forward to recognising the achievements of British manufacturers at this year’s Impact Awards.”

The Made in Britain Impact Awards are an annual celebration of the British manufacturing industry, platforming business leaders and companies that have gone above and beyond to create problem-solving products, championed environmentally-conscious practices, and achieved excellence and growth leading with the official Made in Britain trademark.

This year’s event, which has attracted a record number of entrants, will take place at Worcester’s Bank House Hotel on Wednesday 5 November, with a host of Made in Britain’s 2200 members in attendance for a day of connection and recognition for British manufacturers of all shapes and sizes.
