Atlas Copco Backs UK’s First Accredited Battery Manufacturing Skills Pathway

The Battery Manufacturing Skills Pathway (B-MSP), launched by University College Birmingham with City & Guilds and Innovate UK, tackles critical skills shortages while aligning with Net Zero goals.

Using immersive AR/VR, real-world simulations, and live production equipment, students gain hands-on experience for gigafactories and SMEs.

Developed with direct industry input, including Atlas Copco’s expertise and technology, the programme sets a national benchmark for electrification skills, strengthens the UK’s supply chain, and creates a sustainable, workforce-ready talent pipeline for the future.
