“AXYZ provided training for both the machines and the drawing software, which allowed our staff to quickly gain confidence and use the equipment effectively,” says Jack.

This hands-on approach enabled AK Rubber to handle complex, custom cutting projects in-house. Jobs that once required hours of manual work could now be completed with precision and speed.

Currently, AK Rubber operates three Infinite routers across its facility. The impact on production has been immediate.

AXYZ routers now handle most of the cutting and shaping for thermal breaks, gaskets, washers and custom rubber components. Whether producing a single prototype or a large run, the machines provide the flexibility needed to meet demand.

The introduction of CNC routing has also transformed the shop floor. Production volumes have risen, boosting profitability, while the workforce has adapted to new roles and responsibilities, supporting machine operation and efficiency improvements.

Maintenance is taken seriously. Monthly deep cleaning and lubrication ensure the routers operate reliably and maintain longevity.

“These machines are a major part of our production strategy, so keeping them in top condition is a priority,” says Jack.
