Adaptive Drilling Control function delivers smarter, safer deep-hole machining

DMG Mori says its new Adaptive Drilling Control (ADC) functionality transforms deep-hole drilling by automatically optimising feed, spindle load and coolant flow in real time.

Designed for monoBLOCK, duoBLOCK, DMC H monoBLOCK, DMC 55 H TWIN and portal machining centres, ADC offers three modes for standard, deep and complex gun drilling. By integrating sensor data into a closed-loop system, ADC enhances process stability, bore quality and tool life by up to 30%, reports DMG Mori, while reducing energy use.

Developed with DMG MORI Qualified Products partners, it connects to the CELOS X ecosystem, enabling Industry 4.0-style monitoring, documentation and adaptive machining intelligence.
