Aberlink to showcase latest CMM hardware and software at Southern Manufacturing 2025

Aberlink says it will have a tremendous amount of new CMM hardware and software functionality to show visitors at the Southern Manufacturing 2025 exhibition (Farnborough, 4-6 February). On display at stand K205 will be the new Axiom CNC CMM, the Kings Award winning Extol CNC CMM and the Fulcrum manual CMM. The latest release of Aberlink 3D inspection software (v4.23) will also be on show.
The Axiom CNC CMM employs a stiffer bridge design and incorporates wider air bearing separation. According to Aberlink, the machine introduces more speed and accuracy, while retaining its existing levels of reliability. With three different measuring volumes available utilising Y-axis travels up to 1200 mm, there is an Axiom to suit every small to mid-size application. Also on display will be the new CNC collimated light camera system. This further improves the CCD camera option available on the Axiom CMM.
Launched in January 2021, Aberlink says the Extol is the world’s first CMM to utilise a delta mechanism. In 2024 it was honoured with the Kings Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category. Designed for robustness and reliability, the Extol CMM can run around the clock, making it suitable for positioning next to a machine tool, in a manufacturing cell or in a dedicated inspection area. Throughout the Southern Manufacturing exhibition, the Extol CNC CMM will be served by a UR robot provided by WMH Robotics. Aberlink partners with WMH Robotics when customers require a fully automated shop-floor CMM solution.
The Fulcrum CMM has seen further improvement since its launch in January 2023. Aberlink has simplified the software interface and developed new measurement functionality, for instance. Visitors to the show are encouraged to visit the Aberlink stand with their parts for a Fulcrum demonstration.
The latest version of Aberlink’s CMM inspection software (v.4.23) is available for existing customers to download and upgrade their CMM completely free-of-charge. An overview of the software’s new functionality will be provided at the show.
