New electro-hydraulic linear drive actuator available from CyTec Systems

Now available in the UK from CyTec Systems is the new AHP Merkle electro-hydraulic linear drive actuator. 

According to CyTec, the e-ahp electro-hydraulic linear actuator combines the best features of both electric (clean, low-maintenance, easy to connect) and hydraulic systems (high force, speed). The company says the produce delivers precision positioning within 5 µm, energy efficiency, wear resistance, accurate pressure and force control, high force output and dynamic performance.

Both the E-AHP ‘basic’ and E-AHP ‘prove’ units are built around a synchronous cylinder design. The basic unit includes a high-quality servomotor, while the prove unit features integrated valves for load-holding and other control functions. It is also possible to include additional components such as shut-off valves in the prove axis, allowing for a performance level of D/E.

Applications are wide ranging, with target processes such as punching, bending, cutting and pressing, including press safety. The products offers full four-quadrant operation (bi-directional push/pull).
